Zacarias Bucaneg 99 of Lahaina, Maui passed away on June 12, 2023, at Maui Memorial Medical Center. He was born on September 6, 1923 in Gonzaga Cagayan, Philippines.
Visitations will be on Friday June 30, 2023, at Nakamura Mortuary in Wailuku from 9:00 am-10:00 am; service to follow from 11:00 am - 12:00 pm. Burial will take place at Maui Memorial Park, The Maui View section at 12:30pm.
Zacarias has 11 children. He is predeceased by his wife Consita Bucaneg and his two daughters Florence Bucaneg and Marivic Bucaneg his son Nicanor (Freda) Bucaneg. He is survived by his children Nemesio (Lolita) Bucaneg, Fidela (Franklin-Deceased) Sanidad, Elpidio (Dina) Bucaneg , Maria Edith Sumer, Anita (Edward) Mosuela, Erlina (Romulo) Ballesteros, Delia Ildefonso and Maria (Jong) Baniaga. Zacarias has 26 grandchildren, 58 great grandchildren, 9 great great grandchildren, 2 great great great grandchildren. He was so loved by his family and will leave his legacy through stories forever and he will be forever our always.
