Aline Hamaguchi Rolaff passed away in her sleep in the morning of October 08, 2021. She was born on April 09, 1933 in Paia and raised in Kuiaha, Maui. She is survived by sisters Evelyn Mack of Auburn, California and Lucille Ogata Read Obituary
My earliest memories of Auntie Aline, formed before I was school age, were of a forthright, well-spoken, beautiful person. I saw her more often after adulthood because we both lived stateside. If I had to describe her in a single word, that would be DYNAMIC. In everything she wanted to do, she seemed determined, energetic, thoughtful. (These are traits delightfully found in many of the Hamaguchis!) I admired my Aunt greatly not only for her accomplishments, but for her faith and courage.
My thoughts and prayers are with her and all who knew and loved her. I will truly miss her presence.
