Aline Rolaff's Obituary
Aline Hamaguchi Rolaff passed away in her sleep in the morning of October 08, 2021. She was born on April 09, 1933 in Paia and raised in Kuiaha, Maui.
She is survived by sisters Evelyn Mack of Auburn, California and Lucille Ogata of Kahului, Maui and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews in Hawaii and the mainland.
She graduated from Maui High School in 1950 and Maui Technical School in 1952.
While working on Maui after graduation, she developed a strong urge to find her sister in Japan. She found her sister and also found a job at the American Embassy in Tokyo. This led to a 34-year career in government service including 24 years at the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) in Research Triangle Park, North Carolina from which she retired as a section supervisor in September, 1994.
She returned to Maui upon her retirement, put up a house in Kahului, got involved in various community services and programs. She was a staunch member of the Good Shepherd Episcopal Church.
Services will be held on November 06, 2021 at the Good Shepherd Episcopal Church in Wailuku. Public visitation from 9:00am – 10:30am; Private services 10:45am – 11:15am; Burial at the Maui Memorial Park Cemetery at 12:30pm.
