miss you gramps♥️
I often find myself checking to see if there are any newly surfaced info regarding you and mom. Questions that pop up that I can't just ask you folks I find myself google searching. They say no parent should ever have to bury their children, but I feel that no child should have to bury their parent & in our case, parents. We all still struggle with the void you have left in our hearts since you took your last breath & try to comfort it with the knowledge that you are sitting pretty with our Heavenly Father. I hope we make you proud with the life we are striving to live every single day. I love you DAD!
Still thinking of you, Dad. I miss you and mom so much. I miss your advice-whether or not I asked for it, I miss you knowing what I was thinking without needing to say it, the smell of sweat mixed with brut when leaning in for hugs, I even miss your annoying pestering for late night Jack in the Box runs. You can still make me laugh when I talk about rolling up your passenger side window and locking it when you'd try to cat-call women on the side of the road. We have your pictures on my walls and I wish there were more. If I could, I'd paint a mural for you. Just so I'll never forget that you existed and that I exist partially because of you. Thank you for always being honest-as crude and disgusting as it may have been. Thank you for always being resilient and doing the best you could. Thank you for fighting for my freedom and the freedom of others who you've never met and will never know of you. I hope one day we can all make you guys so proud of us. I love you old man.
Mr. Kamai Jr. was the first contact person I met in Maui from the mainland in Sept. 1998. I was a vet and registered at the vet center the next morning upon arriving there. He was very friendly and helped me register at the vet center. Who was to know that I would meet him and his family 1.5 years later at his fathers church in Wailuku. What a beautiful family. May he be in peace. Azalea
Uncle Kala was one of my favorites out of the many. I remember he used to come over the house to play poker which at the time I thought they had considered a way to win each others money. But, I later realized that it was more than winning each other's money. It was about how they spent time together as a family. Though he might not be in our presence today, he will be in our hearts forever. I love you Kamai Jr. I will always be there for you guys no matter what.
" We are really going to miss you uncle Kala. We love you. We will miss you.
