While living on Maui, we came to know Darlene when she volunteered with my husband at the MFOL bookstore and she was a wonderful friend to him. I worked at Hale Makua in Kahului, and Darlene brightened my Wednesday's when she stopped by my office to give me a big hug at the end of my day. She was such a beautiful person, inside and out. Darlene truly made this world a better place! We are so sad to learn of her passing, and we send our aloha to her family. She will be missed greatly.
