Felix Palalon Asenas' Obituary
Felix Palalon Asenas, 60
Beloved Husband, Father, Uncle, and Friend
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Felix Palalon Asenas, August 5, 2025, a devoted husband, loving father, and cherished friend, who peacefully passed away surrounded by loved ones.
Born in the Philippines, Felix immigrated to Maui in November 2015 with his wife, son, and wife’s siblings in search of a better life. He brought with him a quiet strength, a humble heart, and a generous spirit that touched everyone who knew him.
Felix married the love of his life, Josefina (Josie), in April 1999. Together, they were blessed with their son, Aljames (Allen James), born in September 1996—Felix’s pride and joy. He was a hands-on dad and a steady, loving presence in his family’s life.
In the Philippines, Felix worked as a bus dispatcher for Eagle Star in Manila. Upon moving to Maui, he began his career at The Ganir Company as a night cleaner, moved on to work with IHOP, where he worked as a busser. He then went to work in the hotel industry, beginning with Ka’anapali Ocean Resort Villas as a houseman. He eventually joined The Westin as laundry person, later transitioning to a utility person. Felix was hardworking, dependable, and took pride in everything he did.
A true sports enthusiast, Felix was a die-hard Lakers fan, always ready to cheer on his team. He also loved to cook—especially Visayan-style dishes—and was known for his perfectly crafted adobo, a dish that brought family and friends together time and again.
Felix will be remembered for his warm smile, his gentle humor, his fierce devotion to family, and the quiet way he made life better for those around him. He leaves behind a legacy of kindness, love, and hard work.
He is preceded in Heaven by his late parents: Cecilio P. Asenas Sr and Teoducia P. Asenas and late brother, Claudio.
He is survived by his wife Josefina (Josie), son Aljames (Allen James), his loving siblings, spouses and their families in the Philippines: Porferio, Gregorio, Antonio, Trinidad, Nolasca, Cecilio Jr, Benidecto, Glicerio, Dioscora, and Avelino; his extended families, and many friends who will miss him dearly.
Rest easy, Felix. Your aloha lives on in all of us.
