He will be missed...always so uplifting and friendly to everyone. He always talked about Puunene days with mom and asked about dad. When my dad passed, that was the only time I saw him sad and he tried to cheer me up. Aloha my friend until we meet again--fly with the angels. Say hi to my daddy for me!
I'm going to miss hearing him every time I saw him, no matter where he would be he would always ask "How yo Fada? And the other question, "how his boat?" He always made me laugh whenever I ran into him. He was surely an amazing person and I know everyone will miss him, but we know we will see him again someday. My whole family will miss you! A Hui ho!

Many beautiful memories talking story with Unko Mikey through the years about God and everything else. The old railroads, how he stayed healthy, and always joking around and being Aloha! Kimo, Mikey, Jimmy, Mr. Aloha was one of the greatest people God has gifted the people of Maui with knowing! I would always gladly pick him up to go run errands whether materials for his tables or some of the amazing vitamins that helped him live to nearly be 100 years old. Maui will forever have a huge gap now. Forever a true legend! We will miss you plenny unko Mikey and never forget your Aloha ways as you shout things out in Portuguese and Hawaiian. We love you unko! My uncle was a very loving person alway making people smile and laugh he was called Mr Aloha we would sit out side of Walmart and Costco with a smile and waving and everyone.
