I wish to send my most sincere condolences to the Yap family at the homecoming of sweet Rayna, beloved wife of Byron...I knew both Rayna and Byron many years ago while doing consulting work through Allen's real estate office in Kahalui--..during summer of '99 through around July of 2001.
During that time I was witness to a span in which she and Byron (who was also working in that office)--were becoming quite bonded--many of their exchanges centered on Byron's corny one liners and Rayna's quick witted responses. Byron and I became friends and used to play Chinese checkers for hours on the beach picnic areas near Lahina. The two were very right for one another and it was a pleasure to behold that burgeoning romance, which was and which remained-- Christ centered.
Rayna was exceptionally friendly to both me and my wife Ana--us being bona fide main landers....always ready with a smile and friendly countenance...
And so Byron my old friend, should you read this--remember the words of our Savior--"he that beleveth in me though he were dead yet shall he live"...you will reunite some glorious day...AMEN

I'm deeply saddened to hear of Rayna's passing. I knew her from the Office of Council Services, where she was truly the sweetest, bright light. She always had a smile on her face. I know the Lord is now smiling upon her dear face now. She will be greatly missed, and always remembered. <3
I cannot believe I’m seeing this. I remember Rayna from BHS. We hung out during our senior year. She was super nice and sweet, a great friend. I am so sorry. She will be in my heart…always and forever. Much love and aloha to all of her ohana (humans and furballs). ❤️RIP sweet Rayna❤️
I remember Rayna as a sweet and bubbly girl. She always had a smile and her personality was contagious. I remember my hana butta days playing with her and her brothers and sister at their house on Maalo Street. She was always smiling and having a lot of fun in everything she did. Rest in love Rayna. I will miss your smile and caring personality. Deepest sympathy to the Yap and Soares Ohana.🙏
