Joel Katz
Aloha, My name is Joel Katz. I am on the music faculty at Maui College. I am very sad to read about Shane's passing this morning. Shane took several of my music classes at the college. He loved music and I was blessed to have him in my classes.
He had such a gentle manner about him and he was eager to learn and improve himself. As a teacher, Shane was the kind of student I find incredibly gratifying to be with.
My condolences to Shane's ohana.
