Shane M. K. Toro's Obituary
Shane Matthew Kalaunukekeikiokalani Toro, 39 of Kihei peacefully passed away on Tuesday January 19th, 2021 at his home.
A Private spreading of his ashes will be held at a later date.
Shane is survived by his 2 children, daughter Shayna, son Shaun, mother Mary Toro, brothers: Auhana and Kapono Gushiken, Joseph (Mitzi) Toro, and Jonah (Malia) Kekona ; sisters: Valerie "Sistah Val" Toro, Mari (Chandler) Ford, Vivian (Keith) Inouye, Joanna (Sean) Keahi, Julia Toro and 3 very special people Aunty Fran Miyamoto, Nephew Yeshua Gordo "Bubbz" and his best friend and brother Kris Russell. Shane is also survived by his extended Ohana and many friends who came to know and love him for his kind and loving soul.
Shane served his country proudly for 9 years with the U.S. Army Infantry Division. He was deployed to Iraq in Operation Freedom and spent 1 year tour of duty there. His unit was one of the 1st to enter into Bagdad behind the Marines, with him operating a Bradley Tank. He retired a Sargeant and came home to be with his family.
Shane loved fishing, camping, paintball, playing his ukulele or just being with his Ohana and friends.
Mahalo to Maui Memorial Medical Center, Queen's Medical Center, and Hospice Maui. Special Mahalo to the many family members and friends who donated and supported Shane thru his long hard Health Battles.
