I first met Shintoku when I was attending college. He coached a softball team locally made of former high school baseball players. He was both funny and serious which made it fun playing for him. After my playing days I used to see him occasionally. Our meetings were always cordial and upbeat. Thank you coach Arakawa for being there when we were growing up. Peace be with you!
